Intivag is intended for topical use in the vagina in order to maintain the proper acidity of the vaginal environment. Description of the product<\/strong><\/p>\n

Intivag is a medical device designed for women for topical application in the vagina.<\/p>\n

The Vaginal globules are packaged in the slots of the plastic film.<\/p>\n

Each slot is separated by perforations to allow the removal of one slot with the vaginal globule from the rest of the blister.<\/p>\n

The vaginal globule is removed from the slot by separating the sheets of film. After the vaginal globule is applied into the<\/p>\n

vagina it is molten to form a moisturizing and barrier gel.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Composition<\/strong><\/p>\n

1 vaginal globule 5 mg lactic acid and neutral fat as an excipient.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Mode of action<\/strong><\/p>\n

After application of vaginal globule into the vagina, at body temperature, it is melted and dissolved in the vaginal discharge.<\/p>\n

The released lactic acid lowers the pH of the vaginal environment. Low pH (<4.5) is appropriate for a healthy mucosa, as it<\/p>\n

creates an unfavorable environment for the development of pathogenic micro-flora and helps to restore the natural balance<\/p>\n

of bacterial flora in the vagina.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Indications<\/strong><\/p>\n

Intivag is intended for topical use in the vagina in order to maintain the proper acidity of the vaginal environment.<\/p>\n

This product is recommended to be used as support to maintain normal vaginal flora during and after antibiotic treatment<\/p>\n

in the case of recurrent vaginal infections, or the genitourinary system.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Usage<\/strong><\/p>\n

The vaginal globules are intended solely for vaginal use. Prior to application of vaginal globules wash your hands thoroughly.<\/p>\n

If vaginal globule is too soft, before removing from the blister it should be placed for a few minutes in the refrigerator.<\/p>\n

Separate one slot with vaginal globule from the blister. Grab each layer of foil (between the thumb and index finger) and<\/p>\n

slowly separate them from each other. Carefully remove the vaginal globule from the slot. Gently push the vaginal globule<\/p>\n

deep into the vagina with your finger. Application of the vaginal globule is best done in the recumbent position, with slightly<\/p>\n

raised thighs. Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, apply one vaginal globule before sleep. Vaginal globules should be<\/p>\n

used continuously for 7-14 consecutive days. As a single treatment do not use for more than 14 days. Where necessary,<\/p>\n

the separate treatments can be repeated with an interval of 1 month. Applying vaginal globules should be planned so that<\/p>\n

was not interrupted menstruation.<\/p>\n

Warnings<\/strong><\/p>\n

The vaginal globules are suitable for vaginal administration \u2013 cannot be used in another way.<\/p>\n

Do not swallow!<\/p>\n

Do not use vaginal globules during menstruation.<\/p>\n

Pregnant or lacting women may use the product only with the consent of the doctor.<\/p>\n

Do not exceed the recommended treatment time.<\/p>\n

Do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients.<\/p>\n

Stop using the product and seek medical advice in case of any intensified changes, eczema, swelling of any other<\/p>\n

non-pre-existing problems in the vulva region.<\/p>\n

Ask you doctor if after 5 consecutive days of use of the product there is no relief of symptoms. In case symptoms<\/p>\n

previously alleviated by the product recur do not use the product again and seek medical advice.<\/p>\n

Do not use with other products administered vaginally.<\/p>\n

The preparation may cause difficult to remove soiling of the underwear, while using advised to use panty liners.<\/p>\n

Interaction between product components and latex condom is possible. Therefore do not use latex condom while<\/p>\n

treatment with the vaginal globules.<\/p>\n

Do not use the medical device after the expiry date.<\/p>\n

Do not use if the immediate packaging is damaged.<\/p>\n

Storage<\/strong><\/p>\n

Store at room temperature (15-25\u00b0C) in dry place. Do not expose the product to the sun or oher heat sources.<\/p>\n

Medical device should be stored out of the reach and sight of children.<\/p>\n

Package contains: 5 vaginal globules or 10 vaginal globules (2 blisters of 5vaginal globules).<\/p>\n
